I realise that oval racing isn't to everyone's tastes, but I wondered whether I might be able tempt club members into a mini NASCAR series this Tuesday.
Eligible cars: Ford stock car or Chevrolet stock car - tuned to R3 Class / PI: 800
Three oval races to be held in one lobby session:
Race 1: Sunset - 30 Laps
Race 2: Twin Ring Motegi - 35 Laps
Race 3: Indianapolis - 25 Laps
Damage will be set to cosmetic (as aero damage on these tracks would completely ruin your race). Obviously clean, respectful driving would be appreciated.
For giggles and to mix things up a bit there will be 2 Mandatory Pit-Stops required in each race (with at least five laps between each). Failure to make two pit-stops will mean you score zero points in that race.
I think that each race should take around 20 minutes or so, and with a few minutes between each for a break, change of car tune etc, we should be done in around 1hr 15mins - I would guess…
Each race will feature random starting grids (as no doubt people will want to run different tunes for each track, allowing people to leave the lobby to select a tune and re-enter without mucking up a lobby point system).
There will be a 1 million CR prize for the overall winner (free choice of car to this value).
Obviously this won't be any fun without a reasonable number of people. I think we need at least six entrants for this to proceed.
I realise its short notice, but I’m suggesting 9pm UK time (10pm CET) on Tuesday 4st Sept. I will host the lobby.
Depending on the number of participants, I'll post up the points scoring system here later.

My apologies for messing about with all these times. I had completely forgotten about the Belgian Grand Prix - of course people will want to see that... meaning that Sunday afternoon is a no no. I can't do Sunday evening.
