It's a shame that so few people seem to be interested in this event. I'm not sure why as most seemed quite keen at the outset. I've just re-worded the original post in this thread in the hope of explaining the rules a little clearer. With luck this should make it easier to see how the lobbies should be set-up using groups etc.

So far only Jim, Blue and myself have posted any times. Are there no other members interested in this? Its just a bit of fun, with what I thought are some reasonable prizes on offer (top six positions). If you have a spare hour, why not try a race or two - each only takes around half an hour or so.

If no-one else enters, I guess this comp will have been a bit of a damp squib. Of course, I will honour the prizes for those that finish, but obviously it will have been disappointing. I guess I could possibly try a similar format at some point in the future if we get a load more active members. I guess hot-lapping comps are the way to go for the time being...

    Anyone else interested? Rolling Eyes

I have quite a bit on my plate.

    • Another Forza Nation review
    • Writing my own novel(s)
    • Playing BF3 w/ my friend
    • Sunset Hot Lap
    • Reasonably Priced Car event(s)
    • David vs Goliath challenges
    • Trying to formulate a Total Racing EU one make race series

But nevertheless, I do appreciate I expressed interest and I also appreciate your continued hard work and generosity. Furthermore, most importantly this competition sounds good fun!

I shall enter on Monday, inshallah...

Sorry mate, I didn't mean to have a dig at anyone if that's how it came across. I apologise if the post came off a bit bluntly.

I was really just trying to see if I could drum up any more interest in the comp from any quarter.

No problem at all if you simply don't have the time or even if it no longer grabs your interest. No harm done and no pressure to participate.

Don't worry about it, I didn't mean my reply to come off as suggesting you had been blunt in any way, because you weren't - I in fact may have been the blunt one!

Four clean laps on Fujimi Kaido in a B class? Four clean laps driving for over half an hour on that circuit? Shocked That's monstrous! Very well played Sir! I don't think I've ever recorded one single full clean lap on Kaido in any class... Embarassed

Thanks for enterring, I will update the results.

It's a great car... well, I wouldn't know really, never having even seen one in person in my life! However, as a boy it was on posters adorning my wall (along with the Countach and F40, obviously Cool ). However, for the Nurburg run, I just couldn't string three decent laps together in it, enjoyable to drive though it was. I'd always have a screw up somewhere. I finally switched to the '84 GTO and blew away the lap times I was setting in the 959... Rolling Eyes Shame really, I want to love the 959, but I just don't seem to be very quick in it.

Did my fibal run in 22:33.095. Had to change from the F40 to the Zonda R though.

I could probably have done it in about 20-30 seconds less if I didn't make so many mistakes, but I'm terrible at the green hell. Would have made more sense to do my camino run in r2 and B on the ring, but hey-ho.

Well, that's me done with this challenge Smile

    Good luck everyone else!

    - Anthony.

I've completed Fujimi with my funny little Datsun and managed a 39:58:349. video will be uploaded after sending this post.

I am sure, I can go faster for maybe 20 secs but at least i've done 15 laps today at Fujimi and I don't need to race that track again for some tinme.

Cheers Luc, results updated. Looking at the first results you posted, I was sure that your overall time would have taken the lead, and I admit to being slightly puzzled as to why it didn't. I watched a couple of your replays and it looked like some of your runs were excellent - loads of clean laps - your 'Ring run looked ferociously fast. I can only assume that a big part of the reason I still somehow have the lead is that I ran R2 on Fujimi. While I admit that this seemed a little foolish at the time, I guess in hindsight it meant that on a twisty track, a car with plenty of grip and short bursts of fast acceleration played a good part in the result. Fujimi was also the longest out of the four legs (distance-wise).

Anyway, we've still got Jim's result to come, which I suspect could shake everything up...

There's still plenty of time for any new members to enter this comp (just give me a shout if you have any questions on lobby set-up etc). You also have the advantage of seeing the other times already posted.

The end date was extended until 26th August. Please feel free to enter - all are welcome!

Thanks Jim, results updated. That puts you in the lead overall, congrats!

Well, the five of us who entered this have now completed each of the races. We could just end this comp now I suppose, although I've previously stated that it would be extended until next weekend. Although there's been no extra interest in this to date, I guess there's no harm in leaving it open for one final week to give anyone else who fancies a late entry time to get their races done. So, I'll close this down next Sunday 26th evening and will then sort out the prizes. To anyone else who's tempted to give this a go, feel free! Just post up here to register your interest - hopefully I can answer any questions you may have if any of the rules/lobby set-ups are unclear. Thanks
