Dates & Times? Empty Dates & Times?

Post by Mr Antt Sun 12 Aug 2012, 11:01 pm

    Hi everyone,

Whilst a quick poll may not be the best way to decide this, we need to sort out a date and time to hold the upcoming SEAT championship. Please bear in mind that the sooner we sort this detail, the sooner we can start. We had in excess of 11 members taking part in the open lobby on Friday evening, and with 16 members currently interested in the series that's looking like a positive start. Perhaps Friday is best? We need to find out.

We need to know when everyone will be available. Although I'm fully aware there will be time clashes, or people unable to make certain dates. But unfortunately we can't please everybody. I know it sounds nasty, and unfair but I'm afraid that's the truth of it. For the sake of avoiding confusion, please post times in GMT, thanks.

    - Anthony.

    -----------------------------------------------

I'm available every evening at the moment, however from September I'll be no good until 10pm GMT on Tuesday, but other than that I should still be good for any other night.

Basically, rule out Tuesday for me.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to be reference to British Summer Time, hour ahead or in front, I forget which way round it is.

Thanks for the replies thus far, it's looking like 9pm GMT on Fridays at the moment.

So is the UK on GMT+1 at the moment? I think many people (rightly or wrongly) think of GMT as standard UK time (whatever time of year it is). I believe that Central European time (bulk of Western Europe) is always 1 hour ahead of UK, (clocks move forward and back on the same days). Regardless, GMT or BST (GMT+1) needs clarification here I think so we don't all get confused!

So right now, can we confirm that the UK is running on GMT +1 hour (so CET is on GMT +2 hours). I'm writing this message at approx 4.10pm CET, which should be 3.10pm in the UK.

    Hmmmmmmmmm. scratch

Oh, and Friday evening should be fine with me!

3:10pm at the time of posting was correct, it is now 3:18pm.

I always go on GMT and whatever time it is, I'm terrible with daylight savings Razz

oh jim, what have you done with your post? Laughing

Can we drop summer time and winter time? They change everywhere at the same date in Europe except of Russia (they cancelled the time switch).

actually it is 04:20 pm cet/cest so I wanna race at 9pm GMT/BST to clear it out.

Surely if the cancelled daylight savings eventually they'll be many days ahead calendar wise? Razz

Perhaps we should refer to 'current UK time' or something.

To give my contribution to this topic, I don't have really fixed schedules. I play at least 1h a day every day.
I spend 1 week end on 2 in my family so I don't have my 360 1 week on 2. By the way, Saturday night is the worst period for me... cos... Saturday Night Fever !!! Cool
