Re: Forza Horizon
If it has the club feature, I see no reason why not. I shan't be acquiring the game immediately, purely because I can't afford it. Not when I need to save up for Uni next year at least.
When I do get my hands on a copy, even if I just borrow it from someone who does, and if another club member doesn't beat me to it, I'll set the club up for anyone else who gets the game

Re: Forza Horizon
hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I am still in 2 minds about the game. There is light and shadow.
First of all it is fun to play the game once you have made free your mind from the thought you are playing forza. Except of the title and the car modelling it has nothing to do with the common Forza Motorsport titles. There are elements of every brand of racing games. Maybe they should have named it Need for Dirt: Burnout TDU Horizon.
The graphics ( landscape and cars) looks really really nice, the map is not as big as they announced grandiose. I've played 3 to 4 hours and have driven on more than the half number of streets, have found 5 of 9 hidden cars in barns and have found half of the upgrade discount plates. And that is my biggest problem with the game, it won't last long and you have discovered everything.
After doing the first 2 or 3 races I for myself found out that there won't be any reason to race an event or track a second time what means there's no long-time motivation to play this game as it is in the "normal" Forza. Once you have done all events, the game will be done for all time.
That means too that there is no reason for me to buy any add-on dlc or even to collect all the cars as in Forza 4.
To sum it up, for me personally it is nice to have a welcome change for some weeks ( I guess 3, maybe 4) but it is no Forza game (It doesn't feel like it in nearly all points) that can attract me for a long time.
I don't regret the buy of the game but I am not totally happy and satisfied with it.

love it!!!
bought the game on Friday 2:00pm and have been playing it in every ounce of spare time, i absolutely love it!! only thing i think they could have have added is slightly more in depth customization like V8's in nissans, vtecs in minis and the tuning. 80% of the time i find myself just cruising the long twisty roads instead of actually racing

Re: Forza Horizon
Ok, after 4 days and 16 hours and some minutes behind the wheel ( as said in my statistics) I have:
- found all upgrade discount signs ( the last 4 with help from the internet to be honest)
- driven on all roads
- found all outposts
- beaten 6 of 7 "stars"
- finished 50 of 70 events
- finished 9 of 10 show events
- finished 18 of 30 "illegal" street races
and so on.
So I have to revise my former post. It doesn't last 3 or 4 weeks to finish the game, it maybe lasts a week.
And that should be worth 70 €? If I had known it before I would have saved the money or would have bought Fifa 13.

I think the problem was that every other game it was up against was multi platform & I'm not sure what the official figures were in the end. I think it still might have won the best xbox driving game of 2012 from someone?
I'm still curious about the up coming rally pack... Just don't like the price for it...

Re: Forza Horizon
I dislike having to pay extra for the rest of the game. It's just what EA do, but if it works for them, hey-ho.
Just sell it as one package, quit screwing people over.

Re: Forza Horizon
Or maybe if they had released the main game for £25 in the first place & not £40!

Re: Forza Horizon
I know I've bashed the game a little bit, both here on the forums and elsewhere. But,I've said all along the game looks fantastic. Visually, it's practically perfect and that new trailer is no exception. The problem is it's just not cheap. But I do like the concept of bringing in the proper rally events and cars, etc.
Looks good!

Re: Forza Horizon
Well I thought I would just do a quick post to say Despite my reservations regarding Horizon I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit, I like the scenery, simply crushing around to the different events, what i did realise is the demo gives the impression of mindlessly speeding along the twisting roads hitting everything in your path but once you get going with the satnav and you have a destination with a purpose it becomes very enjoyable, the races are OK some of the oddball events like racing a hot air balloon are quite fun.
I quite like the structure, earning wristbands so I'm not to overwhelmed, the car choices are a little thin but I have a few favourites I stick to at the moment. All in all a very good game. Well worth £14.99. What do you think.

Re: Forza Horizon
We were talking about it in this other tread last week Soul:
https://totalracingeu.forumotion.co.uk/t82p20-forza-horizon#1547
I was saying that there are more things that annoy me about it than I liked, but the more I play it the more I am liking it. Its definitly not bad for £14.99
