Post by Ben2012X on Wed 11 Jul 2012, 8:11 pm

Hi, this seems like a great idea and thanks for putting in so much work!

    Gamertag: Ben2012X

    Real Name: Ben

    Age: 15

Place of Residence: Buckinghamshire, SE England

Occupation: Full time education, what fun... Smile

Real Life Car: My dad's a car nut as well, so the toys are a Casino Grey DBS and a blue Lotus Exige S (not the V6)

Desirable Real Life Car: I like too many, but I'd love a 993 GT2 or 997 GT2 RS if anyone has one! Or a DBS, or a C63 Black, or any M5 before the E60, or a Noble M600...

Favorite Bands: The Killers, Coldplay, Winehouse, Adele, Pink Floyd, Sinatra...

Hobbies & Interests: Cars, History, Politics, Weapons, Music...

Full time education is essential, I'm about to complete my final year at sixth form then it's off to university. It's all worth it, you'll miss it one day Razz

The Noble M600 is a scary car, a lot of power and no driving aids, just man and machine. Can't fault that choice!

Pink Floyd, that's a nice choice. Our school puts on concerts throughout the year and we did an Amy Winehouse tribute this Christmas just gone. And quite frankly, Sinatra has an iconic voice.

I take it you study history at school? I shied away from that one and opted for music instead Smile

Welcome to the club though, glad you could join us here!

    - Anthony.

I know, I agree re: education, doesn't make it any more fun! Smile

Yep, lots of potential with the M600 to scare yourself, and I think the learning curve is what would make it so satisfying! A modern F40...

History isnt one of my IGCSE's but it will be part of my Pre-U course. I've been interested in it for ages though, so it's more of a hobby than an academic subject.

This seems like an exclusive( i.e small ) group of really nice people, that I'm sure will grow in time!

    Thanks for the welcome!

    Ben

I certainly wouldn't say exclusive, I've opened the club for everyone with the simple idea that all ages and skill levels can get together for some fun. But not everyone wants fun, some people take the game for more seriously, which is absolutely fine, but I don't have the time or skill for serious clubs, so I founded this one instead. So far it seems to appeal to a few people, but we're growing more and more each week.

Glad you share my view of education though Razz

You're welcome for the welcome, see you on track on some soon!

    - Anthony.

    Hi Ben

Superb looking car in your avatar mate (assume that's your Dad's that you referred to). Has he ever let you have a drive of it away from public roads?

Thank you, yes it's beautiful IMO and far better looking than the new Vanquish.
Haha, if only! It's his third child (and most important) Very Happy
I've had a little spin off public roads in the supercharged Elise he used to have.
That was a surprise when I used 2nd and some of 3rd gear!
Maybe some time in the future, god-willing...

That's what the ninth-hand 1980s Mercedes G-Wagen diesel, with a fuel gauge that moves with the car's suspension rather than fuel level is for!
